Supporting and enhancing the development of competence in neuroscience nursing

World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses

The World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN) is an international neuroscience nursing organization dedicated to the promotion and development of neuroscience nursing throughout the world. The WFNN consists 15 member organizations representing 32 countries, approximately 5,000 nurses, from six continents.

The federation conducts scientific meetings every four years. The forthcoming 50 th Anniversary of the WFFNN congress will be hosted by the Australasian Neuroscience Nurses Association (ANNA) and will offer a unique opporunity to connect with colleagues from across the world and network to improve neuroscience nursing.

The Society was founded in 1971 at Manchester Royal Infirmary as the British Society of Neurosurgical Nurses (BSNN).  The Society changed its name to the British Association of Neuroscience Nurses (BANN) in 1998. Our Equality & Diversity statement »
